Yesterday night we had a tough time sleeping due to these mosquitoes..Despite keeping mosquito mat don't know from where on earth did these mosquitoes come from suddenly !!! From 12.30 am onwards itself Srivishnu was so restless..Tried patting him and comforting him all the while!!! It was 2.45 am when Srivishnu got up and cried "Thochu Thadithardhu,ennoda thaila,thalula,thazhuthula,mothula,ella yedathulayum"..Though i became restless/impatient due to mosquito bite as well as Srivishnu's restllessness yet couldn't stop admiring the way he spoke .He still pronounces "Ka" as "tha"..
Replace "K" in the place of "Th" to understand what Srivishnu meant !!!

Srivishnu's First Field trip - Posted on 18th February 2014

Was keeping my fingers crossed today till 12.30 pm..Though was busy submitting LKG application forms for Srivishnu my thoughts were lingering around it!!!
Reason -Today Srivishnu went to Egmore Museum for an excursion :)This is his first trip without us.Though we were initially reluctant on sending him along with his teachers and friends without us accompanying him yet we made up our mind due tothe courage and confidence given by his teachers..But we couldn't stop thinking of him until they came back at 12.30 pm..Srivishnu was so thrilled and it seemed he enjoyed his trip so well.He was all full of stories after coming back from school..The spark in his eyes conveyed how excited he was as he narrated how they were asked to sit in the van,after reaching there, form a queue and about the sound of the Dinosaur,the eggs of the many birds,various species of turtles,snakes,fishes,skeletons of animals like Giraffe,hippo to name a few..Heard from his teacher that they couldnt control these boys especially Srivishnu and two of his friends from running here and there:)..On the whole he had a safe and enjoyable trip which really mattered:) — with Sriram Narasimhan.

Post our trip to Masinagudi,Srivishnu has become very fond of animals.He constantly asks us to tell stories about animals that too in forest.Yesterday night Srivishnu was very restless in his sleep.At one point of time he cried,after sometime he laughed while in his sleep...He showed as many emotions as he could while asleep..I tried patting him every time he did something..Amused by his behaviour, i even got scared whether he got sudden fever due to this cold weather which kindled him to behave in this manner while sleeping..But his body temperature was normal..After hugging him and patting him assuring him that both his appa and amma are with him, i too slept!!!
        Suddenly he shouted "Jai" and sat in his sleep..Shocked by his sudden scream i too woke up only to find him half asleep..And what he said in his sleep couldnt but made me laugh considering the time was 2.30 am.This is what he said"The elephant we saw now shouted like this(keeping his hands like elephant trunk,he made a noise),lets move further only then we can see bear,leopard, lion etc..Come soon" ..I hugged him and by patting him on my shoulders put him to sleep saying we are at home and we are sleeping..Its really funny to experience such incidents with children!!!  — with Sudersan Sridharan and Sriram Narasimhan.

Ajay's India first visit after 1.5 years and Srivishnu's bonding with him - Posted on 7th January 2014

         Indeed this new year was made special by my brother Ajay Sudersan Sridharan 's surprise India visit...Srivishnu is having a gala time with him..Since he has school, we are able to spend time with Ajay only during weekends that ,both of them miss each other during week days.While we are with Ajay, Srivishnu ensures that he spends time only with him keeping him in house arrest.This weekend when we went to my parents house to be with Ajay, Srivishnu didn't allow him to go out even for a few mins..Whenever he wanted to go to a shop or meet his friends,Ajay will tel Srivishnu that he wants to go to the restroom and will continue playing with him later and he will stealthily go out while i will retain him in the room by playing with him or showing youtube videos..Once he comes to know that Ajay is not at home he will create a big chaos until he comes back!!!
           On saturday night 11.15 pm,srivishnu was still actively playing that i asked Ajay to stay in the other room while i try to put him to sleep since it was very late..Ajay told the same reason of going to the restroom and came out of the room. Srivishnu suddenly shouted "Jai catch Ajay he will say he will go to the restroom and wil go to the shop leaving me behind" ".On hearing this ,i couldn stop laughing..This weekend when i go there perhaps we need to think of another reason to tell him whenever he goes out  Any suggestions???:)

Today's news headlines in many news channels,the homepage of many websites all flashes one news "Superstar turns 63"..Wondering how an individual man's birthday could have an impact on so many people around the world...He is not our relative,not our friend ,in fact most of us wouldn't have even met him..Then why do his fans go crazy celebrating his birthday,worshiping him like a god!!!When he was in hospital few months back many people around the world made many offerings to God in order to save their "Thalaivar"..Can an individual person have such an impact on the society/on the people??? Is it because of his popularity,his high influence,his financial power ??Of course not!!! Beginning his life working as a coolie then as a bus conductor he went on to become the superstar of Indian Cinema!! !But his simplicity and humbleness always stays with for which he is being respected by not only by his peers but also by the common man.Perhaps he is the best example of how to live a life of simplicity and modesty though being surrounded by name and fame.One Sun,One Moon likewise One Superstar!!...He is indeed a veritable demigod of Indian Cinema!!!!Typed this post not as a fan but amazed at what an influence/impact this man has on mankind..A very happy birthday superstar  !!!!— with Sudersan Sridharan and Sriram Narasimhan.

First application form for Srivishnu's school admission - Posted on 5th December 2013

Be it whatever "first" always has its significance.From the first school we studied,first office we worked,first mobile we bought to name a few are always so memorable and stay fresh in our memories..When it comes to our kids we will tend to treasure those moments..As i was standing in the long queue for the first time to collect the LKG application form for my son for nearly four hours, i realized it.If not to collect his admission form, i would have definitely grumbled for waiting for so long hours without even drinking water nor having a chair to sit.But luckily weather favored me  It was a pleasure for me to wait there thinking how quickly these three years have passed and my little Srivishnu will be graduating from preschool to go to a proper school.I remembered my school days and how my parents used to tell about how they stood from overnight in long queues to collect the application forms for my school admissions in the year 1988 and about my interview at my school, Rosary Matriculation:)Indeed years have gone so fast!!!

With so many changes in the current education system and so to the admission process, keeping fingers crossed wondering which school will Srivishnu get admission..By God's grace he should get admission in a good and reputed institution where not only academics but also students talents are being spotted and given encouragement!!! 

Srivishnu doubting whether he was girl when he was young and then changed to a boy later - Posted on 28 November 2013

Last week Srivishnu was taught "who is a boy/girl" at his preschool..From then on,initially whenever we go out or when guests come home,he started asking me whether they are a boy/girl ..He started getting very curious about it.He now got familiar that girls keep bindi,wear bangles,anklets and ear rings and he himself identifies the gender correctly..It so happened that yesterday i was showing him his younger days photos say when he was around one and a half years of age..Though he was excited, with a profound look on his face he asked me"Amma, was I a girl when i was young and then did i change to a boy?"..Controlling my laughter as i knew the reason why he asked me this question,i asked him why he asked me this question...He immediately responded"See i am wearing bangles,anklets and earrings which only girls do,now i dont have those so i was a girl when i was young now became a boy"..Marveled at his presence of mind,i explained to him that all kids when they are young will wear all this,once they grow up girls alone will continue to wear while boys wont...Finally he got convinced  — with Sriram Narasimhan.
