Time spent with my childhood friend after 13 long years -Posted on 5th August 2014

We were childhood friends,

Either i will be in her house or she will be in mine,

Together we have played,fought and shared many good/not so good moments,

As kids we had displayed many stage shows in our houses wherein we danced(for songs like "Kondayil thazhambu from the movie Annamalai,a tamil song though i dont remember exactly "Sundakka kalyanam" etc) and did skits just to entertain our family members and neighbors,

The number of hours we used to spend practicing for it getting scoldings from elders by involving in mischievous acts,

Then as we grew up,we became busy with our academics that we couldn't get more time to spend with each other ;

Finally me along with my family shifted to another house after remaining neighbors for fifteen long years  !!

Though we met once or twice yet we couldn't spend time together

Now when we met at a common function after 13 long years, we couldn't stop discussing about our childhood memories...Three hours perhaps was not enough!!! 

Felt happy clicking a snap though we couldn't take one with our family!!

Well indeed time has gone very fast!!! Today its 4 years since i quit Aon Hewitt..Felt nostalgic as i posted these pics in FB..What a farewell it was on 23rd June 2010!!! ..I was blessed to have worked with one of the best organisation and above all the best of best teams with cooperative teammates and friendly managers( Lekshmy Menon Ashish Garg Abirami Mohanraj , R Madhavi Latha , Srividya Saravanan , Nirmal Kumar X).These 4 years of break made me spend quality time with my little Srivishnu which wouldn't have been possible had i gone for work..Now am set to get back to work..Keeping fingers crossed as to how things will fall back in place!!!!

I had planned to do some work after putting Srivishnu to sleep..He was taking a long time to sleep..I became restless on patting him..Finally i told him,

"Srivishnu sleep soon,i have loads to work to be done once you sleep"..

He immediately got offended or rather got angry and replied

"Do u think i am free,i have to sleep, get up ,play with my toys,play with my clay and sleep at night again.I am also very busy and have lots of work to do".

I was really shocked to hear this reply  And that too,his face shone with anger .His spontaneity and anger made me feel really surprised !!!!

Sriram and Srivishnu were getting ready to go out.

Sriram : "Srivishnu WEAR your shoes"

Immediately Srivishnu rushed to the outside door and pointed to his shoes..

For a few seconds we didnt realize what was he upto.Only then it struck us,he took it as "Srivishnu WHERE r your shoes"   

Nostalgia : Going to Terrace - Posted on 26th June 2014

Nowadays i try to take Srivishnu to terrace as often as possible in the evenings..Today when we went up,nearly after some 15 yrs or so laid down on the terrace and i looked up the blue sky above with the red sun almost ready to set!!!
Felt nostalgic as i remembered my school days where me and my brotherSudersan Sridharan used to go to terrace along with our parents,aunties and uncles when we were in a joint family then..It was actually a routine..After household work gets over we used to spend some time in the terrace at least during weekends..With time, slowly that practice stopped and then we shifted to a new apartment where terrace door will be opened only upon prior requests due to the low height walls..
As i closed my eyes and laid there recollected my childhood incidents  ...Miss those days very badly!!!
Indeed time and tide waits for none !!!!

Srivishnu prefers snacks compared to sweets..Even when we prepare sweets at home for festivals or for functions,he seldom eats it...
Yesterday after Srivishnu came back from school,he said "Today is the birthday of a girl called Ananya in my class"..I was really astonished when he told this as soon as he came home since generally only after asking him a couple of times does he disclose all that happened in his class..

He then said "She gave laddu for her birthday".

To this i replied "what use is it to u,u don't taste sweets".

He then said"No ma,i ate one,it tasted really good.I have kept another one in my snacks box.Take me to a shop today evening and buy me some more".

As all mothers my happiness knew no bounds  ..The thought that my son has started liking sweets made me feel so !!!

Srivishnu then opened his bag,took out his snacks box and said "i have kept another laddu in it,wil have this before i have lunch".

I eagerly waited and was confused when he took out "Cadbury shots" chocolate from his snacks box...

With mixed emotions,i asked him he was talking about laddu but he is eating chocolate????

To this he replied"Amma this is also laddu,v have seen in this adversitement right???,kanna laddu thina aasaya???? 

Only then i understood everything!!!!

Srivishnu's vodofone incident - Posted on 27th May 2014

Srivishnu has a number of toy cellphones..Recently he has developed a habit of feigning as though he is talking with another person over the phone..Most of the times he will pretend as though he is talking with his school friends or with his Ajay Sudersan Sridharan mama.
It so happened that a guest came home recently..Once he started conversing with us,in order to grab his attention,Srivishnu started his mock telephonic conversation..Our guest in order to make him happy asked him" r u using vodofone?".
Srivishnu got angry on his nose and replied"This is not ottaphone(repaired one),its a brand new one in working condition" !!!
All of us present there bursted out laughing
