Proudly after watching my brother Sudersan Sridharan 's MS graduation @UTD last night and with BJP's clean sweep in this election feel so excited and happy .Indeed May 16 2014 is a memorable day for my family (due to my brother's graduation) and for the people of India

"The most precious necklace for a mother is that of her child's arm around her neck".A very Happy Mother's day to all the mothers and also to the mother's of all those, who read this..Being a mom to a lovely boy like Srivishnu make me cherish every moment of motherhood ..Having a mom, who has sacrificed a lot both personally and officially in bringing me up and my brother Sudersan Sridharan is really an inspiration!!!
Would like to dedicate few lines from song "Uyirum Neeye" from the film "Pavithra" penned by Lyricist "Vairamuthu",set to music by AR Rahman and wonderfully rendered by "Unnikrishnan" to my mother,to my mother in law who has been like a mother to me since my wedding and to all the wonderful mothers on this mother day:)!!!!

It was getting late and I was trying to put Srivishnu to sleep..It was more than half an hr..He was doing something or the other like playing,talking etc...I was constantly telling him "Srivishnu Seekaram thoongu(quickly sleep)".At one stage i got restless and told him "Please Seekaram thoongu"..To this he immediately replied "I am not please,i am Srivishnu" — with Sudersan Sridharan and Sriram Narasimhan.

Since Srivishnu stil pronounces "K" as "Th",thought will note down all the words that begins with 'K' in both Tamil and English like the ones we use frequently(kitchen,cooker,kovam,come,kaami to name a few) and record it while making Srivishnu pronounce these words..Felt it will be real fun to listen to it even after years.May be even Srivishnu will too enjoy listening to it once he grows up.I started noting down the words since Sunday and also started recording it periodically.Yesterday called him to have dinner,he said "Thonja(konja) neram thazhichi(kazhichu) varen" and started playing..Within few seconds he came running to me and said "Amma naan sonnadha note pannaya" :)OMG remba shame'a pochu..Though he didnt kalachify me intentionally still couldnt stop laughing at wat he said — with Sudersan Sridharan and Sriram Narasimhan.

My eyes became wet on watching my little Srivishnu wear his preschool uniform for his last working day today.Alas, his ten months of preschool life has come to an end !!!Though we put him in preschool during June 2013 it was almost October end by the time he started to get settled there..I should mention about the patience,dedication and the motherly care given by his teachersJothi Priya Shashirekha Kannan Shiva Shankari Gayatri Karthik as well as their non teaching staffs @ his preschool Acorn Academy..They have indeed molded this fussy, shy toddler to a brave and courageous little boy
It was tears of mixed emotions - "of Joy and happiness upon his successful completion of his preschool,the thought of having to part with such wonderful teachers who were indeed like a second mom to him while he was at school,anxiety of how he is going to react to this new situation(new school/new environmenment/new classmates)". Am sure he is going to miss his aunties(preschool teachers) and his friends!!(:
With "N" number of doubts as to why his aunties will not be there in his new school,where will his frnds go and so on,my baby, oops my little boy Srivishnu is ready to go to LKG tomorrow.
Sriram Narasimhan and I,as parents pray to the Almighty to give him good health and career as he keeps his first step towards it while at the same time thanking God for giving him such wonderful preschool teachers !!!

Parents are really facing a stressful time with LKG Admissions going on Chennai. When we took Srivishnu for his first interview, as parents both me and Sriram Narasimhan were keeping our fingers crossed as to how Srivishnu is going to respond during his interview..Of course Srivishnu made us proud by being spontaneous in answering all the questions :)I felt nostalgic remembering my interview at "Rosary Matric"..My parents used to tell after waiting for more than 2 hrs i got so restless which in turn made them restless too wondering how am i going to face the interview??!! Added to all this it seems, just when my turn was about to come for the interview,my Slipper's buckle came out..My parents were perplexed as to how to deal with the situation!!! It was then, when my friend Meghna Gopalakrishnan's mom ,who had just come after finishing the interview and whom we have never met earlier,offered me Meghna's slippers to be worn This incident happened during the year 1987-1988..Since then we have remained friends :)Years have gone very fast but not the memories..My interview was indeed successful and so was 14 years of school life at Rosary..Want to my extend my thanks to my buddy Meghna and her mom (Lakshmi Aunty) through this post !!!

I really couldn't refrain myself from posting this little incident about my little Srivishnu ..As already mentioned in my earlier posts, Srivishnu still pronounces "K" as "Th" ..It so happened that i was giving him food yesterday when he suddenly shouted "Thaai Tharama iruththu " ..We all really bursted out laughing since actually what he meant was "kaai karama irukku"(Vegetable is spicy) but he ended up saying a phrase unmindfully !!! Yenna thathuvam!!!! — with Sudersan Sridharan and Sriram Narasimhan.
